Etiquette

Some may consider Joe rude or not well socialized, but he prefers the term unawares. He has a nasty habit of doing stupid things or failing to complete obvious tasks because he is a bit of a blundering fellow. It's not that he is purposefully neglectful. Rather, he has either forgotten or didn't have any clue what was expected. This posting contains his excuse for a recent event.

Many of us know that Joe is soon to wed. Now, he understands an announcement was supposed to be made and he should have told all the people he knows about the engagement, but he had no clue which people he was supposed to call and inform.

The way he sees it, if he doesn't have your email address, you are not in the loop; and if you don't have the good sense to check his great website, you only have yourself to blame for not knowing. I mean, jeez, what does a guy have to do to keep people informed. There are a few people who have slipped through the cracks and didn't receive notice. He has recently taken some flack for this, but officially takes no blame (although he still feels guilty).

You see, he doesn't mean to be like this. He doesn't mind taking the blame, but let's all agree that things are damn complicated and sometimes shit happens. Let's all get over it and just let Joe his blunders. After all, it's his charm... right?
