Surpprentation Island Idol

It is bloody difficult to resist television when it right there in front of you and you can understand what's on it. TV wasn't quite the temptress in Korea since I couldn't understand what they were saying and although watching Korean celebrities wrestling each other is interesting, I didn't feel out of the loop having missed it. In Canada, I feel like an outsider when I don't know anything about The Apprentice. "Joe," they say, "you took business... You would love it." I know I would; that is what I am worried about. So, here's the trick... get aboard the gravy train and ride it. It's not hard. Let me show you.

If I made a reality show it would be this: I would put some attractive people with significant others on a tropical island where they would have to sing to get a big record deal while completing all manner of corporate tasks and resisting sexual temptation, but here's the catch... all they could eat is rice. When they are voted out a morally superior, yet non-threatening host would say something like, "the tribe has fired you, and you should face it; you are a horrible singer." Then they would watch a video where their girlfriend dumps them for getting with that ho in the pink bikini. I guess that would have nothing to do with reality, but let's keep the reality bit so people will watch. I would make millions on stolen ideas.

I should be a TV executive,

Lost Time

The strangest thing happened on my way home from Korea: no time passed. I left my temporary home atop the school where I worked at 1:30pm November 4, 2004 and arrived at my new temporary home at the same time, same day; only I was 16 hours older. I feel much the same about the whole year: the time is the same, but somehow I am one year older.

OK. Thanks for coming. Things have been crazy around here since I came back from Korea. I will be writing soon. I hope you come back to check it out. Good things come to those who wait.
